Meet the IV Carrotmob Team

Hunter Flynn, Project Manager

HHey All! I am finishing up my senior year at the University of California, Santa Barbara where I have been studying business and economics. About a year ago I realized that, at least as an undergraduate, I was not going to hear anything in my business classes about how business and the environment intermingle. This was a depleting realization, but it also acted as a catalyst to get me off my butt and start learning about this stuff on my own. After reading Will McDonough, Lester Brown, and Paul Hawkin it wasn’t really an option anymore to continue business as usual and my journal into the study of the ecology of commerce began. What better way to kick off a career as a eco-business man than organizing a Carrotmob! Onward and upward, cheers!!!

JeffHey everyone, I am Jeff Svoboda. I am currently studying in my first year at UCSB.  I am undeclared as of right now, but am fascinated with sustainable architecture. In regards to the Carrotmob event, I am working on a promotional video and flyers/posters/adds. I love to mess around on my computer with those sorts of projects. I hope to one day go to graduate school and study Architecture.

Anthony Rum, Marketing

First off, thank you everyone who has shown interest in the IV carrotmob thus far, we are all excited about the upcoming event and are doing everything we can to make it a success. As for me, I just transferred to UCSB as a junior from the small mountain school on the east coast, Appalachian State University. I am studying business economics where I hope to incorporate my passion for the environment and graduate with a degree that allows me to pursue a career in both fields. I stumbled upon the Environmental Affair Board (EAB) within my first few weeks on campus and they welcomed me with open arms. Their focus on protecting, preserving, and enhancing the local and global environment paralleled that of my own interest. Working along side the enthusiastic and dedicated team EAB bestows has been a pleasure and made dreams of positive sustainable change into a reality. I am excited about the year ahead and look forward to finding out what UCSB has to offer.
